1. Acceptance of these Terms
GlobeNews9 (“GlobeNews9”, “we”, “us”) is a digital news publication operated within the 24World Media network, published from 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States. By accessing or using globenews9.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Website Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. The service
The Site publishes news reporting, analysis, explainers, multimedia and related material (together, the “Content”) and provides informational pages and contact facilities. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site or Content at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, although we work to keep it so.
3. Intellectual property
The Content, the GlobeNews9 name and marks, page designs, graphics, photographs, audio and video on the Site are owned by us, our network, our contributors or our licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except as expressly allowed below, you may not reproduce, republish, distribute, translate, adapt, sell or create derivative works from the Content without prior written permission.
3.1 What you may do without asking
You may read and share links to our pages; quote brief excerpts (up to 50 words) with clear attribution to GlobeNews9 and a link to the original page; print or download a single copy of an article for personal, non-commercial use; and use our headlines and links in news aggregation that links back to the original. Systematic scraping, bulk downloading, framing that disguises origin, and republication of full articles are prohibited without a licence (see the Services page for licensing).
3.2 Syndicated and third-party material
Some Content is supplied by agencies, partners or contributors and credited as such; the rights holder named in the credit controls reuse of that material, and our permission does not extend to it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Site unlawfully or in breach of these Terms; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its systems or its data; interfere with security, delivery or measurement of the Site; use automated means to harvest Content, build datasets or train models except where we have given written permission or where a law you cannot contract out of allows it; misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us; submit material through our forms that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, malicious or that contains other people’s personal data without authority; or use the Site to harass any person.
5. User submissions
When you send us material — tips, documents, corrections, responses or commercial submissions — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit and publish that material in our journalism and services, in any medium, with credit where appropriate and practical. You warrant that you have the right to send the material and that its use by us will not infringe the rights of others. We are not obliged to publish, keep confidential (except as described for sensitive tips in our editorial practice) or return any submission. Do not send material you do not wish us to hold under these terms.
6. Advertising and sponsored material
The Site carries advertising and clearly labelled sponsored content. Sponsored and partner material is identified on the page; its presence is not an endorsement by GlobeNews9 of any product, service or claim. Transactions you enter with advertisers are solely between you and them.
7. Third-party links and services
The Site links to third-party websites and embeds third-party media. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for third-party content, products, privacy practices or availability. Following a link is at your own risk.
8. Registration and accounts
Reader registration is closed: the Site does not offer public user accounts. If limited account facilities are introduced later, additional terms may apply and will be posted before use. You must not attempt to register accounts through any unauthorised route or access administrative areas of the Site.
9. Accuracy of Content
We work to a published Code of Ethics and a Corrections policy, but Content is published for general information and may contain errors or become outdated as events develop. Nothing on the Site is professional advice of any kind. Our Website Disclaimer forms part of these Terms and governs reliance on Content.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY OR AVAILABILITY. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusions of implied warranties; in those places, the exclusions apply to the maximum extent allowed.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLOBENEWS9, THE 24WORLD MEDIA NETWORK, AND OUR EDITORS, CONTRIBUTORS AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS. 12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GlobeNews9 and the network against claims, damages, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from your breach of these Terms, your submissions, or your misuse of the Site, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or misconduct.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice through the Contact page identifying the work, the page concerned and your right to act, with your contact details. We assess notices promptly and remove or disable material where required by law, including the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act where it applies. Repeat infringers’ access, where applicable, is terminated.
14. Termination and suspension
We may suspend or block access to the Site, in whole or in part, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where required by law, or to protect the Site and its readers. Provisions that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, warranties, liability, indemnity and governing law — survive any termination.
15. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Illinois are the exclusive venue for disputes arising from these Terms or the Site, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where a mandatory law of your place of residence gives you a right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top changes with each revision; material changes will be announced on the Site. Your continued use after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. General
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Website Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede prior understandings on that subject.

If paid features are introduced, the price, billing terms and cancellation rights will be stated before purchase and will form part of your contract with us; nothing in this section creates a charge today.
20. Data use and text-and-data mining
We reserve all rights in the Content for the purposes of text-and-data mining and machine-learning training by third parties. Automated systems may index the Site for search and linking in the ordinary way; bulk reproduction of Content to build datasets, train models or power retrieval products requires written permission or a licence, except where a law that cannot be contracted out of provides otherwise. A notice sent only through the form is treated as received when our system logs it; postal notice is received on delivery.
