The Women’s Pakistan Super League was scheduled to be held in the year 2022 but it was postponed as there was no space in the current window to host the T20 tournament for the women. However, now it’s official that the tournament will begin from 2023 as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has given a green for the league.

The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team have done a good job in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 warm-up games, having won two games against New Zealand and Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, during a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium on Friday, Tania Malik lauded the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team for their performance and was hopeful of the team finishing in the final four.

“Our team combination is good, and hopefully, the team can progress in the final four.”

She also lauded Southern Punjab Cricket Association for taking the lead in promoting women’s cricket at the grass-root level. Also, a T20 game is set to be played between Southern Punjab and Sindh on March 4, which will be part of the Women’s Day celebrations.

“Since taking office, women’s cricket has been facing difficulties. Efforts are being made to take steps for the promotion of women’s cricket and women to come forward in every field,” Tania added.
