Veteran Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has ruled himself out of the upcoming ODI series against the Netherlands which is set to commence from January 21 at West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha. Also, the three-match One Day International series will be part of the ICC World Cup Super League.
Meanwhile, Nabi has ruled himself out of the series because he wanted to clear the path for youngsters to get the experience of playing cricket at the highest level.

Also, Right-arm pacer Naveen-ul-Haq is not a part of the 18-member squad for the series against the Netherlands as he has decided to take a break from ODI cricket to focus on preparing for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 which is scheduled to begin in Australia later this year.
Afghanistan’s squad for the Netherlands ODIs consists of 4 uncapped players including batsman Riaz Hassan and pacer Mohammad Saleem. Also, pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi who has played one T20I and Shahidullah Kamal who has played one Test will have a chance to represent the country for the first time in One Day Internationals.
The squad also has a good amount of experience as Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rahmat Shah, Gulbadin Naib, and Najibullah Zadran have been included in the team. Also, Hashmatullah Shahidi has been given the responsibility to lead the squad in the series.
