PHNOM PENH — Cambodia on Thursday confirmed two more deaths from the COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to seven, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement.

The deceased patients were identified as a 43-year-old Chinese man living in southern Kandal province and a 38-year-old Cambodian man residing in capital Phnom Penh, the statement said, adding that they both confirmed to have COVID-19 on March 11 and 16, respectively. (Cambodia-COVID-19-Death)

BANGKOK — Thailand confirmed 97 cases of coronavirus infections on Thursday, mostly in Bangkok, according to a report of the Center for the COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

Of these new cases, 92 were domestic infections and five others referred to imported cases, the CCSA report said.

Sixty-five of the local cases were confirmed in Bangkok due to a recent outbreak at Bang Khae Market in the capital city, the report said. (Thailand-COVID-19-Tally)

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan on Thursday held the Pakistan Day military parade in the capital Islamabad with full zeal and fervor.

The military parade, conducted as per health guidelines to prevent and control COVID-19 at the Shakarparian hills, was scheduled to be held on March 23 to mark the 81st Pakistan Day but was postponed due to bad weather in the capital.

MANILA — The Philippines’ Department of Health (DOH) reported on Thursday 8,773 new COVID-19 infections, the highest ever daily tally since the outbreak began in January last year, raising the nationwide tally in the Southeast Asian country to 693,048.

The DOH said there are now 99,891 active cases in the Philippines.
